Alexandra Wood, DNP, PNP-PC, is a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in acute and chronic pain management at Phoenix Children’s in Phoenix, Arizona. She has played a key role in developing institutional pain management protocols and leading innovative programs aimed at reducing opioid use in pediatric surgical patients. Dr. Wood’s work advancing pediatric pain management has been recognized through presentations at institutional, regional, and international forums, including the International Symposium on Pediatric Pain. In addition to her clinical role, she contributes to the education of future nurses as a clinical instructor at Grand Canyon University.
